You need only let down what defenses might be in place and see what wells up from inside you." - Will Glennon

A. Kindness requires flexibility - Not focusing only on yourself, but dealing with others interruptions in your life.

B. Kindness requires focus - not so much on tasks but on being a human being who interacts with other human beings.

C. Yet, Kindness doesn't require much - You don't really have to overcome what you think you need to. Just be a listener and be aware.

1) Access without Condition
a - Twice God calls and Abraham's response is immediate, "Here I am, Lord," regardless of what it is God is calling us for.
b - A less mature believer may be tempted to say, "No, God. You can't take that."

c - You must make a decision at some point and ask, "Is there anything that you are unwilling to give to God, no matter what?"

*Psalm 39

2) Trust without all the Details
a - Even without knowing the reason God is asking, the outcome, the situation, direction, etc.
b - What will you do and how will you view God when "surprises" come?
c - Needing to know details is a sign of a lack of faith (How many times does the Lord need to come through before you will trust Him without questioning Him?)

*Romans 8:28

3) Obedience without Delay
a - Scripture says, "Early the NEXT morning, he went out..."

*Hebrews 11:17-19

b - A counter example is Saul, being so impatient to sacrifice that he didn't obey and wait for the priest as God commanded.

A) Order: God is Creator and created in order. It was thoughtful and reflective (said, "It is good."). It was progressive, just as our faith is (II Cor. 5:13)

B) Sovereignty: God is omnipotent and knows all. We have the gift and blessing of free will in making the micro decisions that play into His more sovereign, macro, plans and purposes.

C) Nature: We are caretakers of creation and are to take this role seriously, but not to the degree that it injures or causes suffering to others.

2) Genesis 1:26, "God created male and female in His image," answers the questions of:

A) Life & Death: Gen. 2:7 says that we were formed from dust and had the breath of God breathed into us. This shows the sanctity of human life as God brought plants and animals to life, but He put His own breath of spiritual life in humans

B) Human Value: Not because of anything we can do or have done, but because of who made us. That is why we are valuable. Because we are God's creation</itunes:summary><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:block>no</itunes:block><itunes:duration>00:18:06</itunes:duration><itunes:keywords />

The Tree of Life: Jesus - (Luke 2); 12/25/11 (Happy Birthday Jesus & Merry Christmas!)

<itunes:author>Pastor Anita Eastlack</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>The Tree of Life: Jesus - (Luke 2); 12/25/11 (Happy Birthday Jesus & Merry Christmas!)</itunes:subtitle><itunes:summary>3 Personal Testimonies</itunes:summary><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:block>no</itunes:block><itunes:duration>00:27:00</itunes:duration><itunes:keywords />

The Tree of Life: Ruth; God is a God of Open Arms (Ruth 4) - 12/11/11

<itunes:author>Pastor Anita Eastlack</itunes:author><itunes:subtitle>The Tree of Life: Ruth; God is a God of Open Arms (Ruth 4) - 12/11/11</itunes:subtitle><itunes:summary>4 Signs of the Redeemed
